- 5/5 — "Dr Calderon facilitated my plasmapheresis treatment, including transport and accommodation as I was travelling from California. He informed me well of all the steps, was reliable and responsive, and he speaks English well. I felt well supported throughout (consults, catheter procedure at Core Hospital, and the plasmapheresis at Haim blood bank), and Dr Calderon showed up in person every step of the way to ensure all went smoothly. My plasmapheresis was not for one of the most common reasons (example autoimmune), but instead to reverse the side effect of high blood pressure from taking a monoclonal antibody drug, and it worked! I also believe I had benefits from renewed plasma (by replacing my plasma with Albumin, with my body creating fresh plasma). Both the Core Hospital and Haim facilities were modern, clean and I felt safe. Plasmapheresis treatment is like an "oil change" for the car, but for the blood!
